Solar power is sustainable

The biggest advantage of a solar rooftop system is the possibility to consume directly the energy produced by the PV plant (self-consumption), thus allowing a reduction of the energy taken from the grid.

A rooftop solar power plant or rooftop solar system is a photovoltaic (PV) plant that has its PV panels installed on the roof of a building.

The MFP environment provides a large amount of empty rooftop spaces and can inherently avoid the potential land use and environmental concerns.

Hybrid energy solutions

Solar power is a sustainable energy source that is an essential part of a hybrid energy approach.

Wind and solar energy together are expected to become the largest generation source of new renewable energy installs going forward.

Smaller

Efficient use of space

The maximum dimension of a rooftop solar system depends on the area of the roof, so rooftop solar systems are usually small compared to ground-mounted photovoltaic power stations.

The maximum dimension of a rooftop solar system depends on the area of the roof, so rooftop solar systems are usually small compared to ground-mounted photovoltaic power stations.

Rooftop solar systems on commercial or industrial buildings can reach up to 1-2 Megawatts = 1000-2000 kWp (or more).

Maximum production capacity

Least negative impact

Solar energy has the least negative impact on the environment compared to any other energy source. It does not produce greenhouse gases and does not pollute the water. It also requires very little water for its maintenance.

Energy needs tend to be higher in the 11:00-16:00 time frame and then early in the evening. Naturally, this is the period when the price of the electricity peaks. Solar energy happens to reach its maximum production capacity during those hours.
